The Fortress Power Club.
The Fortress Power Club is a 12-week strength training program designed to get you ready for your first max out or powerlifting competition.
Training in a squad of up to six people, head coach Josh Luu will take you through all things powerlifting, muscle building, skill acquisition and strength development.
The Fortress Power Club is a 12-week program built to get you ready for your first competition-style experience. The 12 weeks are mapped out to have you ready, confident and the strongest you’ve ever been for strength testing at our mid-year max out.
Over the course of the program, you’ll train in a small squad of up to six people, under the leadership of head coach, Josh Luu.
Each week, you’ll complete 2x 90-minute training sessions with the squad, in which you’ll cover all of the main lifts. To supplement these two primary sessions, you’ll be given sessions that you can complete more autonomously during our coaching hours.
The 12 weeks is broken up in to 3x four-week training blocks, with each phase of training focusing on different elements of strength development and introducing new techniques and ideas related to training, performance, mindset and competition.
The 12 weeks will conclude with our ever popular TSF Mid-Year Max Out, a strength testing day in which our community comes together to test their maxes across the squat, bench press and deadlift. Our max out days are really electric events. Everyone is locked in, the energy is high, and the support in the room is second to none.
The Fortress Power Club is designed for the late beginner up to the late intermediate level lifters. If you have some strength training experience, have ambitions to push your strength and perhaps one day get on the competition platform, the Fortress Power Club is for you.

The TSF max continues to be one of my highlights of the year, with not just the enjoyment of getting to max out my own lifts, but also see the fruits of everyone else’s labours. Seeing everyone get around each other and cheer for each other when they are lifting makes the day very memorable and enjoyable.
Last year I competed in my first competition, which was a super enjoyable experience, made very easy by the support of the TSF coaches and my fellow gymgoers. Following that, I said that I wanted to focus on getting my numbers up before I competed again. The coaches have continued to adjust my training to make this happen. To this day, I have continued to enjoy the flexibility of the coaches in allowing me to pursue each of my goals as they come up.

Since being at TSF, I have been able to push myself more and become more confident. With online coaching, I knew I had potential but was limited in some ways such as not having spotters and training partners around to encourage me, keep me safe and support me to do my best.
Being at TSF has enabled me to be more confident with my lifts and going to the gym feels less like a chore, since I’m surrounded by a great community who are likeminded.
The coaching system at TSF has been so beneficial, since I can ask any coach on the floor for clarification of exercises, form/technique and how to gauge my RPE’s in real time.
When I started at TSF, my goals were to hit a 100kg squat and 50kg bench. Within the first 3 months at TSF, I hit a 52.5kg bench press PB at the TSF mid year max out. Six months later, I hit my 100kg squat at the end of year max out. I’m now set to compete in my first powerlifting competition in May!

The TSF gym and coaching system is unlike anything else I have ever tried. Training at TSF has allowed me to progress dramatically with my lifting without compromising form, rest and recovery. Most importantly, it has taken the mental load off me, in that the coaches prepare your program for each and every session you have in the gym.
TSF gives you the opportunity to take a relatively individual sport and make it feel like teamwork. I enjoy working in with other members, so that everyone can be supported towards their individual goals. The support and teamwork during the max out day in particular is incredible, no matter what stage anyone is at in their journey.
People go to TSF for a number of reasons, and all different paths are welcome. I have never seen such diversity in a gym, and everyone has respect for one another. Theres no egoism and comparisons in this space, and if anybody is looking over at you it’s only to cheer you on or to see if you need a spot.

Josh is an incredibly dedicated coach who is truly committed to his craft. Not only is he a professional competitor himself, but he’s also passionate about helping others enter the world of powerlifting.
His wealth of knowledge, especially in competition settings, has been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals. The tips and tricks he’s shared have significantly improved my mind-muscle connections, ensuring I perform lifts correctly. I’d highly recommend Josh to anyone looking to take their powerlifting to the next level.

What I loved most about the TSF Max Out was the incredible energy and atmosphere in the gym where everyone was pushing their limits and cheering each other on. I approached the Max Out with the mindset of preparing for a competition, treating it with the same focus and dedication.
Having put so much effort into the prep, I was very nervous about whether I could hit the goals I set for myself. Despite feeling anxious and not at my physical best that day, the unwavering support from everyone at the gym instantly put me at ease. Their encouragement made the experience unforgettable and reminded me that at the heart of powerlifting is its incredible community of supportive and inspiring people.

TSF has been able to create such a welcoming, wonderful environment and community, everyone is incredibly supportive and friendly from the coaches to the other gym members which makes me look forward to coming in multiple times a week.
The coaches have gotten to know me personally and with that they've come to know my goals and have been able to create a program to help me in achieving these. They have also figured out my personal training style and how best to motivate me to support to achieve my best at TSF, which is very different to my previous gym experience.
I have nothing but positive words to say about the coaching at TSF. The coaches are all very knowledgeable and supportive and really push me to do my best. I don’t think I would continue to show up and be consistent if it were not for their support.
